welcome home, worms!

after an unexpected delay (we were supposed to have taken delivery on tuesday), today we welcomed the arrival of our red wrigglers - our composting worms are here! hooray!!!
they came in a little bag inside a small usps box, overnight delivery. it was weird to see how many there were in the bag! but remember, one pound of worms is about 1000 wrigglers, so they were crawling over, under and around each other in a pink and brown mass. most of them were less than 3" long, and were really thin. hopefully, if all goes well, they will eat and poo and breed and eat and poo and... well, you get the idea!
