i received a small 'grow your own herb' kit from my mom for my birthday this year - no, not that kind of herb - this one included chives, sweet basil & parsley. it's about 10"long, 4" tall, 5" wide. last week i finally got around to planting it, and have been diligently misting it with water every morning using a maroon-tinted spray bottle from the 1990's.
this morning, i went to water it, and magic happened... they are sprouting! hooray! the tallest sprout is less than .5" right now, but should start growing quickly now. i'll try to keep you all posted each week or so on the progress!
