we helped to do some cleaning while there too. her home is full of odds and ends and antiques and junk. we cleaned out a space in the garage to start piling up items that might be rummage sale worthy, so that we could move some of the items from inside the house out. there were some neat discoveries, but i think one of the best finds were the 1982 copyright version of macco liquid nails. we opened a few cans (of the nearly 20) to see of the caulking gun would produce anything, but all we got was a pasty, clay-like, brownish goo, instead of the smooth glue that would usually escape the container(s). oh, and did i mention the awesome photo?! it is totally sexist, but cracks me up! i mean, really? i tiny little cowgirl outfit, complete with a pair of 'caulking' guns? who really does construction/repair work wearing that? ha!
anyways, two days is too short a visit, and besides, i need to visit much more often than i do! doesn't it feel like sometimes time is moving faster than you are? i feel like that when i am doing something that i want to do, but never when it is something i have to do... boo. well, at least it was a nice weekend, and though i hated to leave, i will make it a point to get back sooner than later!
