wedding to-do's

so i registered on theknot.com, and according to my checklist i am behind on the following items for our wedding, which is in 293 days:
*find and book an officiant
*start prewedding counseling (ha!)
*finalize the wedding guest list (omg - this is hard)
*envision your wedding flowers & interview florists
*audition reception bands and dj's
*envision your wedding invitations (this is tim's job)
i figure, considering the fact that the checklist they provide is 152 items long, and we've already completed 37, i'd say we are doing okay so far! but, as most of you know, i am very much a planny-plannerton kind of person. so, as soon as i can get some of these items under control, and get ahead on a few others (like decide on a videographer, or not, figure out cake flavors and design, and get a freaking dress! - as examples...) i will be able to relax a bit more.
i went dress shopping with my mom and sis yesterday, and still can't decide on what i want. i have it (kind-of) narrowed down to a handful, all of which are totally different from one another, and i can't choose. i wish the groom were 'allowed' to see the bride in her dress before the big day, because he would be able to tell me what looks best, and what he likes too. maybe i'll just show him all the dresses online, and let him decide that way! or not - then it defeats the purpose of him being surprised. well, i'll figure it out sooner or later... hopefully sooner!
