one perfect dress for one fabulous occasion

i have been looking online today for wedding dresses, which is turning out to be incredibly difficult!
i feel like there are so many to choose from, but each one reflects a different part of my personality so well! and please do not associate the following with me having DID, as my longing for different dress styles is more a result of my desire to play 'dress-up' than of turning into a completely new individual (although tim might say that my irregular mood swings and anxieties could be a symptom of this!) my sense of style is just consistently inconsistent, that's all. but i digress...
did you know that they have wedding dresses with pockets?! ingenious! regular pockets, sewn right into the front of the dress, just like jeans! i couldn't believe it. i want one. maybe. the 1920's flapper looking dresses are tres chic, but not really me. the gorgeous 50's style knee-length dresses with under-layers of crinoline that never end are clean, but too 'leave it to beaver' for my taste. the frumpy retro-vintage dresses that are nice in their own way, but more as an everyday, and less of a wedding dress. and the big poofy princess gowns were cool back in the day, but not so much for the present.
a couple of sites i like: pricilla of boston - the 'melissa sweet' and 'vinyard' collections have a few gorgeous dresses. kitty chen - couture. enough said.
unfortunately, it seems that every dress i am partial to ends up being designer (not on purpose!) and is over $2000 so far. yikes. apparently i have expensive taste. it's a curse, really. ;)  and obviously, i will not be purchasing any of those.
but i know that i have plenty of time, and eventually i will find one perfect dress for one fabulous occasion - our wedding!
