kept mother's day pretty low key this year, but i really enjoyed the time alone with my mom! i sent her flowers on thursday, so she could enjoy them for several days, and got her a few kitchen goodies that we had recently talked about; probably not the best gift she's ever received, but thoughtful, at least :)
we spent several hours together in the morning, went to breakfast, and just hung around into the early afternoon, but it was nice to have a quiet day - i hope mom had a good time too!
