red

two red things today; me and tim. allow me to explain...
today i went to the lake with my mom, pop and sis, to hang out and celebrate my dad's bday from the 15th. it was so nice! we had such a great afternoon, relaxing in the cool water - the misleading water?! argh! because my tummy and legs were [mostly] in the water, i didn't see or feel them getting burnt, and now i look like a lobster from my chest to my shins. boo. no more serious sun exposure for me until after the wedding! i am so fair, and i never get tan lines, but i have them a bit right now, and i am worried that i will have them for the wedding - lame! i will have to nurse these burns quickly and then get back out in the sun, a little at a time, bathing suite line-free, to even everything out. oy. i can't believe i let this happen. (luckily i was wearing a big hat to protect my face, neck and arms, so those are doing just fine).
tim had a soccer match this morning, and then he went and got a new tattoo! it is the taoist symbol for tranquility. it's basically thick horizontal lines across his lower, inner arm area. it looks a lot bigger now that it's actually permanently on his arm, vs. how it looked on the piece of paper he had, but once it heals, it should look really cool. i'll take a photo when it's less swollen, but he got it all in one color - you guessed it - red.
