wedding clothes

so yesterday was a busy day of wedding clothes.
i hung out with mom and dad most of the day, which was awesome! we all haven't spent time together like that in a while. in fact, i think the last time my parents and i went out for errands was about 3 or 4 years ago, i looked like hell, and we ran into an old friend of mine from jr high! she and my parents knew each other - we had been on a stunt-cheer squad together (you know, like the movie 'bring it on' without all the battling), which included a lot of traveling, competing and fund raising. the friend was so sweet (she always had been) but all i kept imagining was her thinking "omg - what happened to her?! she's a hot mess..." (even though 'hot mess' wasn't a phrase then, i think it would have been an appropriate term for me on that day. lol...) anyways, we didn't run into an old familiars yesterday, but we did get a lot of shopping done!
we had a nice breakfast out, and the restaurant was nearly empty, surprising since it was about 830 on a saturday morning. then we took dad to get a suit - and he is going to look so handsome! he got all tailored and fitted, got all the trimmings to go with, including a cute little pocket square. mom found shoes to go with her dress. and we also found some possiblities for my grandmother to wear!
and in the afternoon, i got to try on my dress!
it fit so well - i can't wait until its final (alts, bustle, etc). i go back in the next couple of weeks for my first fitting... how exciting!
so now it's just tim and ben left to finalize wardrobe - tim's got his suit but nothing else yet, and i think ben is working on all of his too... and some accessories here/there for me, mom, kami. i can't wait to see it all come together :)
